nikta is an immigrant settler–an uninvited guest, living on the traditional, ancestral, and unsurrendered territories of the Sinixt Peoples (Sinixt təmxʷulaʔxʷ) and Ktunaxa Peoples, and working with clients on Turtle Island and beyond.

BigBrownEyes.ca is the creative studio of Maverick Design, led by nikta—an expert in instructional design, communication design, graphic design, WordPress consulting, and Shopify consulting. Specializing in custom design and development, Nikta works with schools, nonprofits, and small businesses to deliver user-focused, values-aligned digital solutions. Based in the Slocan Valley and serving communities across British Columbia—including the Kootenays, Nelson, and the Arrow Lakes—BigBrownEyes.ca is a go-to partner for web design in the Slocan Valley, web design in the Kootenays, and web design in Nelson.

In addition to design services, nikta is a skilled facilitator with a background in community organizing, bringing a relational and collaborative approach to every project. She is committed to working with justice- and equity-based clients, supporting initiatives that center inclusion, accessibility, and systems change.
